Each topic is available as both an HTML page and a machine-readable JSON/CSV endpoint.

Read the HTML page first. It provides interpretation context: what the data measures, how to read the numbers, what benchmark deviations are meaningful, and which related topics to cross-reference. The "Key insight" section contains a pre-computed editorial summary of the most notable finding.

Then use the JSON endpoint for precise data. Responses include counts, percentages, benchmark comparisons, and change-over-time for both Census years. Rows with a non-null "highlight" field have a noteworthy deviation from the benchmark. The "manifest" block lists all valid parameter combinations for further queries.

To compare a single category across all suburbs within the LGA, use ?view=compare&category={slug} on the JSON endpoint. To understand what drives a pattern, pull related topics listed in topic_metadata.related_topics for the same area.
